Its mainly due to poor conditioning, If you watch cruiserweight title fights vs heavyweight title fights over the past 4-5 years the cruiserweights have produced massively better fights.

I just wish the up and coming heavyweights would fight more often like Tyson done when he was coming up.

Heck, even fighters like Mercer,Bowe, Morrison and the rest were fighting pretty often and were regulars on USA Tuesday Night Fights or ESPN.

The up and comers need to fight more and not wait for the FAT payday..........

What are you guys talking about? Chageav-Wlad was one of the best fights I've ever seen, easily FOTY.

                    Two Klitschko champions with
                    - dominating superiority but
                    - a really boring style

                    VS

                    a bunch of
                    - "not-yet-ready" or
                    - "past-the-prime" or
                    - "too-lazy-to-care"
                    contenders.

Further, I'd like to see more fights - only a few of the fights of the division are broadcasted in Europe. Mostly belt fights, but few to determine rank or challenger postions.

The ever increasing size of the average heavyweight has done the most to contribute to this problem. Guys feel like they can't come in weighing 205 pounds anymore so they put on an extra 15 pounds of fat instead. I love that Eddie Chambers decided to get in shape and fight at 208 instead of the 220 or so that he had been coming in at. Hopefully it sends a hopeful message to other heavyweights his size.
