Why is the Heavyweight Division so Boring?

It's a problem that HBO and Showtime have a monopoly on boxing. To break this monopoly fights need to be televised on non-premium television networks like CBS, ABC, TNT, NBC, or S p i k e, like it was in the 80's.

If boxing was televised on non-premium television networks, it would attract a larger viewing audience, boxers would get more money, and there would be less power on promoters and more power to the boxers.

How about:

Heavyweight: 200 to 220 lbs.
Super Heavyweight: 220 lbs. above

No that would take away competition, there is no point of a super heavyweight division. Eddie Chambers who is a natural cruiserweight just recently beat Alexander Dimitrenko who is 6'7 250lbs+. It's not the height and built of boxers, it's a lack of skill, and a lack of motivation to get in shape. Wladimir is not unbeatable, neither is Vitali, and I'm predicting Chambers to beat Wladimir.

all wlad does is defend against some guy who has just beaten an old shot champion and jabs him too death

The heaveyweight division sucks because there is nobody there of substance, the Klitschko brothers are alright but they got no competition. It really isn't a testament of there skill as much as its just no talent in the division. Its the Klitschko vs a bunch of slow out of shape fat dudes.

their were a lot of top guys who were very talented and evenly matched who wanted 2 beat each other up,and all had a hell of a lot of heart

Ali owned the division because, not only was he super talented, but the man was highly entertaining.

Even people who didn't watch boxing were drawn to his personality and looked forward to his fights for the excitement.

Much like Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Duran, Tyson, Hector Camacho,
Naseem Hamed, and others, the fans tuned in because of the energy they brought to the game.

Today's heavy weights aren't concerned with entertaining and wowing the crowd. It would certainly help boost the division.

Charisma is a precious gift that only few people have.
