Not that it's boring, but there are more fighters in the divisions lower, or maybe because of the lack of talent. Give it a while, up and comers emerge each and everyday, takes a while to get them to a national level though.
Why is the Heavyweight Division so Boring?

I agree with this. Many fighters in the HW division don't have the heart and diciplin to be true champions.Comment

You have a point.Exactly. If you were a great athlete who was that big, you would be playing one of those sports. That's why there are no great athletes in heavyweight boxing anymore. No great athletes = boring fights.
It isn't just the heavyweights, it's everything from 168 and up. There's only one great prime athlete in ANY of those divisions, Chad Dawson. Plus there are a few prospects coming up now like Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell. But that's it.
You only start to find great athletes when you get below 160. If you're that size you're too small to play basketball or football so there are still a lot of them in boxing like Floyd, Paul Williams, Tim Bradley. That's why those are the best divisions in the sport by FAR.
Cruisers weights is still irrelevant. Light Heavyweights are replete with unnecessary rematches like that of Dawson vs Tarver, or past prime fighters which met too late to be of any significance like that of Hopkins/Calzaghe/Jones.
The super middleweights at least makes an effort with their six man tourney.
Middleweight and Jr. Middleweight is still lacking any real excitement factor, as Paul Williams ascension still doesn't capture the imagination of the general public. Perhaps Williams need to go way up in weight class, like what Pavlik did when he fought Hopkins, but that comes with danger of losing, making their original weight class lose yet another luster.
We'll see when the dust settles after the Pavlik vs Williams.Comment

Lack of talent and conditioning.....hey, there's a reason Wlad only thows 10 punches a round: He's afraid of gassing out if the fight goes at anything faster than a snails pace. These things run in cycles though, the '80s were pretty lame for Heavyweights but the division turned out pretty good in the '90s.
