    Weak opposition

No fighter is going in and scoring exciting KO's or haves an exciting style in general, the closest you get is Wlad poking & prodding them into submission before throwing one right hand... Wlad has the KO power to flatten most of today's HW's, but doesn't trust his own chin, and who can blame him?

Bad conditioning making for terrible fights

When was the last time you watched an exciting HW fight?

Also, everytime somebody is challenging for the HW title, you already know who's won. Where's the fun in that?

        There's no top black fighters.

Heavyweight division didn't suck when Lewis was running the show.

With Wlad and Vitali using controlled aggression and gradually wearing down the opponents. Being safe before being sorry.

With the surname Klitschko the Americans were never going to be interested.

The big Americans are usually in the NFL or NBA.

It's like knowing every ending to every mystery movie that will be shown, except the movies aren't really thrilling.

Yup! I'm sure the Russians and the Germans don't think it's boring at all.

Exactly. If you were a great athlete who was that big, you would be playing one of those sports. That's why there are no great athletes in heavyweight boxing anymore. No great athletes = boring fights.

It isn't just the heavyweights, it's everything from 168 and up. There's only one great prime athlete in ANY of those divisions, Chad Dawson. Plus there are a few prospects coming up now like Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell. But that's it.

You only start to find great athletes when you get below 160. If you're that size you're too small to play basketball or football so there are still a lot of them in boxing like Floyd, Paul Williams, Tim Bradley. That's why those are the best divisions in the sport by FAR.

That was the same when Tyson was in his pomp, the difference was that you knew that Tyson was going to smash the f.uck out of his inferior opponents and not jab them to sleep.
