even pacquiao's overrated resume is way better than hopkins resume.

floyd's overrated resume is also way better than hopkins resume.

hopkins' resume is a bunch of david diaz's and carlos baldomirs in his division.

the only difference is pacquiao and floyd went UP in weight to challenge guys like barrera , hatton , castillo , oscar , etc.

pacquiao and floyd didn't wait for israel vazquez to come up and meet them to make a name.

the 160 division hopkins reigned was possibly worse than's calzaghe's 168 and definitely worse than roy's 175 division and joe and roy gets so much **** for their competition. lmao

and Michael Nunn was stopped by James Toney, who Roy Jones beat.

He fought Mccallum in his 17th pro fight,Roy fought Mccallum when he was over two hills.
He als fought a much better Johnson than Roy.

Benn also beat a malinga in 92 before Roy.

Yes he fought ONE good fighter,is that good enough for a man of roys talents in an ENTIRE division?
Roys SMW resume is awful,SURELY U CAN AGREE?
        Antoine Byrd?
        Vinny Pazienza?
        Tony Thornton?
        Eric Lucas?
        Bryant Brannon?
Who the **** are these guys?
Thats the thing... Im not making his resume at 168 out to be ATG or GOAT.... he beat the best fighter in the division who was undefeated and ranked top 3 p4p... he made some title defenses and he moved on.

yes, he didnt unify the division, we know that, and nobody here is claiming he has the best resume at 168... that would be joe calzaghe.

But if there was one fighter in the SMW division at the time, that was the best, that he SHOULD of fought, it was James Toney, and that is who he fought.

If Roy was in the business of ducking fighters on purpose out of fear he might lose... then the LAST fighter he would of fought would of been Toney.

He was bigger than Roy, he had more experience than roy, he was ranked as a p4p fighter OVER roy... and roy to come up in weight to beat him.

If you think Roys resume is ****, well then thats your personal opinion.. im not going to sit here and debate w someone all day, when no matter what your opinion is what it is.

there's a reason hopkins ducked tito in the rematch.

          he knew what's up.

          • Toney was always ridiculously overrated, good fighter but never should have been held that high IMO.
He was utterly outclassed for 10 rds against Nunn before knocking Nunn out,Nunn never got a rematch.
in his next fight against Reggie Johnson he was knocked down and squeaked a split decision and Johnson didnt get a rematch.
he fights the legendary Mike Mcallum and fights to a draw in which many people believe Toney lost, in his next fight he gets another lucky split decision against the unheralded Dave Tiberi who guess what doesnt get a rematch.
            Was he overrated?

that said......toney would whoop hopkins 160-175.

So according to you Floyd & Pacquiao are the only two guys with better resume than bhop, out of active fighters. That says something man, don't you think? Floyd & Pacquiao are going down as ATG. So is nard.
