  • This thread really should have been Roids resume sucks but I thought everyone already knew that so I thought it would be pointless, now I find out some people actually believe Roids resume is good lol.

    • Hopkins resume is one of the best in the game, anyone can go around and pick apart a fighters resume.

      For example : Wladamir Klitschko

      Best wins

Chris Byrd - a natural cruiserweight.

Lamon brewster - had good power but zero skills to go with it.

Ruslan Chagaev - paper champion, best win was Valuev.

Sultan Ibragimov - best win was a 45 year old Holyfield and looked like fred flintstone.

Samuel Peter - had overated power and had zero skills.

It's all so easy to discredit a fighters resume but i don't like doing that, i always try and get the positives out of a fighters resume.

only little kids who just started watching a few years back think bernard has a better resume than roy.

        • Nards resume is sick.

Entering his best career run in his 40`s is insane.

          • your asking me to answer a question as if i am roy jones himself... he still moved up in weight and fought THE best fighter in the division.. James Toney was the BEST fighter at SMW, #3 on the P4P list.

I would have WAY more of a problem if he moved up to 168 and fought chris eubank and nigel benn and NEVER fought James Toney...

and Michael Nunn was stopped by James Toney, who Roy Jones beat.

steve collins already had 3 losses on his record 2 were title fights at 160 by the time roy even got to SMW... he beat eubank and benn... meanwhile roys beating james toney

Nigel benn? had 3 losses in a row before roy even LEFT smw... and lost both his title fights... this is before roy jones ever left the division. Roy KOED malinga, who WENT ON to beat Nigel Benn.

mclellan was KOED by Benn while roy was still in the division, and then beats a nobody to get another belt

chris eubank lost both his title fights to collins WHILE roy was still in the SMW division..

it isnt that i wouldnt of liked to see these fights, or these arent good fighters... but the fact is when roy moved to SMW, he took on the absolute best fighter in the division... meanwhile these other fighters are losing title fights...these fighters needed roy, roy did not these fighters.

would it have been nice for roy to unify the division? sure of course... but he fought and beat the #1 fighter in the division.... who was UNBEATEN, and RANKED pound for pound.

            • the legend of bernard hopkins makes me laugh.

"what he did in his late 30's and up to his 40's was so incredible!"

              lmfao

newsflash......bernard hopkins was a NOBODY 'til he was in his late 30's.

bernard hopkins was nothing more than a paper champion 'til 2001.

Is being as successful as he has been from 36 to 44 impressive or not ?

Those divisions would of been the best in boxing if Pacquiao fought in them.

But why couldnt he fight ONE of them after Toney, you make it sound like he fought Toney so thats it.

He als fought a much better Johnson than Roy.

Benn also beat a malinga in 92 before Roy.

Yes he fought ONE good fighter,is that good enough for a man of roys talents in an ENTIRE division?
Chris Eubank at the time was 39-0 and WBO champ for 4 years straight.
Roys SMW resume is awful,SURELY U CAN AGREE?
