Almost everyone predicted that De La Hoya would win. You should give kudos to the writer for being honest, not pretend that the Pac-De La Hoya result was predictable when it was not.

This writer is quite clearly a ****. Why is everyone on the defense for Cotto when the fight is at 1 more lb less than he weighed in at his last fight?

Pacquiao is moving up in weight (5lbs) and Cotto is technically having to sacrafice 1 more pound just to make ends meet by moving down in weight.

Build a bridge. Some of you are worse than women when it comes to moaning.

If you think there's a need to build a bridge then what you're saying is that you don't think Manny would be able to win under the normal championship rules. If that's the case then the Welterweight title should not be on the line, because you can't say you're the world's best Welterweight if you don't think you can beat the top Welterweights unless they come down in weight.

And no one is objecting to the fight being at catchweight, only to a title being on the line - especially as it was initially announced as a non-title fight, with Pac's verbal agreement, and then his advisers stepped in and tried to change everything afterwards.

If a title-holder loses a non-title bout, he always loses credibility, but he still legitimately retains his title. No title was on the line when Zarate and Zamora fought, and Zamora did lose some credibility as a title holder when he lost, but he was still a legitimate title holder.

If Pac were to win in a non-title fight, the right solution to create clarity in terms of the integrity of the title would be for them to have a rematch with an upper limit of 147lb.

But catchweight fights shouldn't be for titles, that's just bull****.
