If same day weigh in is held, he would still not fight Oscar. Pac would be Jnr. MW. while Oscar would be Middleweight
Are you sure that its fight night weights? I know Floyd weighed 147 against Hatton, 150 against Oscar and 146 against Judah during weigh in and not on fight night. Its impossible that Oscar weighed 150 during weigh in and 148 during fight nightComment

Yes I'm sure. Floyd doesn't dehydrate and rehydrate like most boxers do, his weigh-in weight is usually about the same as his fight-night weight. Mayweather's fight night weight was released by HBO, Oscar's wasn't. Floyd weighed 148 on fight night, Oscar probably weighed around 160. As I said, google is your friend.
Well, if its true, still Floyd is a legitimate WW. If he can't dehydrate to 140 at weigh in, he can't be a JW. While Manny can dehydrate to 135 if he wants to.
Your reasoning that Manny would be a JMiddle against Oscar if weigh in is held on fight day is wrong. If its aWW fight, Manny would still come in at 143 on weigh in on morning and Oscar at 147. Unless its a JMiddle fight which I'm sure Manny's camp wont agree.Last edited by don miguel; 08-05-2009, 07:55 PM.Comment

From knowing this and seeing that he generally comes in around 147-148 at fight time one could conclude that if he HAD TO he could dehydrate and boil himself down to 140 or 135 just like Pac does.
MAYBE they are 3 or even 5 pounds apart but Pac and Floyd are damn near the same size and for the greats that isnt that much.Comment

So how is that relevant to the discussion? He weighed 4 pounds less than the Jr Welterweight limit DURING THE FIGHT at Jr. Welterweight.

Maybe Floyd can go down to 140 but don't like it. Maybe it affects him b.c he didn't against hatton and won't against jmmComment

That is why fight night weight is relevant.
If Pac and Mayweather come into the ring for the fight weighing the same weight how is is possible that one of them is bigger than the other? Regardless of what they weighed the day before? They are still the same size for the fight.Comment
