Nate Campbell won the fight i dont argue that. But you cant say it would have turned out the same way with both eyes. Maybe he still loses maybe not. Nate Campbell quit because he knew he would not be able to perform the best he could. Juan Diaz ****** it up fought on and took a loss.
Notice: Nate Campbell WAS in the fight.

I just watched the fight.
I'm a Bradley fan, but I agree that most of his shots were blocked, or were glancing blows. He was winning the fight, but wasn't dominating. It's pretty obvious that the cut had an effect, as Bradley was able to land much more easily and regularly after the 'butt. It sucks that it had to end that way, and I hope there is a rematch.
As for Nate quitting, I know the Doctor called it off, but Nate was saying, "I can't see, stop it", which is kinda dissapointing as I never thought of Nate as a guy who'd ask for it to be stopped, can't blame him though when his health is at stake...Comment

it was caused by a butt, no doubt, but it was also a very dumb ass move by campbell. He's a proffesional he knows if he says "i cant see, I cant see" over and over they will stop the fight. He should have talked to his corner people about it first and at least let his cutman work on the cut, instead he didn't even allow the cutman to work on it he in fact got mad and kinda hit/pushed him, not too mention he should have found out first if the ref ruled it caused by a punch or accidental clash of heads.
This is like judah vs clottey in a way.
You can only blame campbell for the loss, he didn't act professionally and it cost him as a result.
He should have ****** it up, allow his cutman to work, find out what the officially ref ruling was and at least tried to continue for one more round. Now you can say, "oh but you don't know what its like" true, but at the same time from my observation of many years of boxing, I know what will happen if you say "i cant see, I cant see!" when the ref rules a cut by a punch. Common sense.
But he didn't, so end of it.
Sure he was in the fight, but clearly he was outmatched in there, so PERSONALLY I don't even see the need for a rematch, but whatever.Comment

You win rounds not only by connecting but pressing the issue and dictating the fight. He did land to the body and he did land some glancing blows.Bradley was having success in every area except the area that counts, putting leather on Nate Campbell.
You can box and look pretty all you want, but if you aren't putting leather on your opponent, you are not boxing effectively. Go back and watch the fight. Watch who is putting leather on who.
Nate is slipping sliding, blocking, catching, rolling. The best Bradley could manage was glancing blows.
You say Nate wouldn't have been able to keep up with Bradley? Nate wasn't burning energy, Nate didn't have to keep up with anyone. He was fighting at his pace, and eventually Bradley would have had to slow down to his pace.
I don't think there is any question that at the very least, Nate would have made it a difficult 12 rounds for Bradley with a healthy eye, and there is a good possibility he could have taken the win.
This could be true. Or you could also say that Bradley's activity early discouraged Campbell from letting his hands go. It's all speculation now as Campbell checked out well before the fight was completed.
I agree that Campbell could have possibly made it a difficult fight. But at that moment Bradley was doing overall a good job.Comment

I like bradley, but his footwork going forwards is lacking, as in he goes under a wrong angle and not fast enough, and his punching is still not perfected. He got a lot to work on. Who is training him?Comment

Well enough, this is boxing and while I ain't too big on these tactics, they are still a part of the deal. I mean, if they were playing soccer, and one of the guys butted another, it would be outrageous, but it is boxing, the hurt sport of our age.Comment
