Notice: Nate Campbell WAS in the fight.

I agree for the most part. He did get buzzed by what appears to be a right hand, which he obviously didn't see coming, but after that single punch, Bradley only really managed to hit gloves.Comment

that is absolutely right. It is very difficult to beat a tall long fighter with fast hands and feet in a 3 round bout under the current amateur system. If you try and turn it into a phone booth fight they just clinch and the ref separates you.I think you are right, the amateur system has created a new breed of fighter who by and large has forgotten many of the old school tricks. Infighting is really becoming a lost art in the modern amateur system. The fighters that win are the fast fighters with long reach that can get off first and run. There is no reward for working the craft, or placing body shots, which is disappointing.Comment

It doesn't matter. Those who dislike Nate will say that he was getting beaten, regardless of the fact that Timmy wasn't landing any punches. The hardest punches being landed were from Nate going to Timmy's body in round 3.
I gave Nate the first round due to him pressing and Timmy not landing anything meaningful.Comment

I agree completely with you...
Nate didn't quit....there is no reason to believe that, and less of all that he was lying when he said he couldn't see.
This reminds me of the first fight between Vazquez and MArquez.
People calling Vazquez a quitter ... i mean Israel Vazquez a quitter because he didn't continue because he couldn't breathe well.Comment

Not at all. Diaz was cut in the late rounds by a punch after being on the wrong end off an ass whooping all night long.
Obviously the commentators were pulling for Diaz, and were sucking his nuts up until the point where it was clear that Diaz was in trouble, but Nate was in control of that fight from round 1.
Wrong his cut was severly opened up in round 6. He was up 4-2 on most scorecards. 3-3 at the worse. After round 6 he maybe won 1 round.Comment

I don't put much credence in the scorecards. The fight was in Mexico with a Mexican fighter. One judge even managed to give the fight to Diaz.
That fight was Nate's career in microcosm. He does great work, beats the hell out of a guy, and nobody gives him any credit for it.
Nate pounded Diaz to the body exclusively during the early going while Diaz tried to hit Nate upstairs without any success what so ever... Later as Diaz tired, he began to beat him upstairs.
There was not a second of that fight in which Nate Campbell was not in control. I know you won't accept that because you are a Juan Diaz fan, but from boxing perspective it is the truth.Comment

Yea, to be fair he did get in some clean blows in both instances but it wasn't nearly as bad as it seemed. I don't think he was ever really in any danger.Comment

I just hate how people are calling Nate a ***** for quitting and saying so and so's cut was much worse.Once that blood gets behind the eye and starts blurring your vision it's gonna be alot harder to judge where the punches are coming from. I believe Nate really wasn't looking for a way out. He didn't make weight for his fight with Funeka, was prolly drained as hell after hitting the saunas and trying to boil down to 135, and he still went out and fought a helluva fight.Comment
