It seems like the English people here are being little whiney bitches...who cares what somebody says about our boxers on an internet forum...

****, I wanted Pacquiao to beat hatton, cos Hatton is an overated hype-job!!! FACT.

Plus loads of my fellow blind countryman placed bets with me that Hatton would win...same with the mayweather fight...and that is just Ricky Ricardo---reeeediculous...So I make money off of our hype-jobs!

As I will next time Khan fights a guy who throws more than 30 powers shots a round.

Can't say **** about Calzaghe or Lennox though...I get the feeling alot of british boxing fans on here would say the same things on a fishing website or a golfing website...

I better say something nice about my country now though...
    uhhh...rule Britania!!

There must be lot of good euro fighters because correct me if im wrong, but a quick glance over who holds what titles shows that there are far more euros holding belts than americans

Plus, p4p lists are usually made up by americans. Personally, i find it hard to understand how dominating heavys like the klit boys cant make a list, its probably fair to say that if they were american they would at least make a top 10 and maybe top 5

Also, a lot of fighters dont fight well outside of their comfort zones and lose 10% or more fighting outside of their home bases. Its often takes a certain type of fighter who is willing to relocate and live for example in another country like the states to find their true form over time. Its easy to think of some high profile americans who have come to europe and got knocked around too, it happens

I agree with that comment about the Klits!!

I feel however, if they were American, the public demand for a fight between the two would be so high and the money involved would be insane that it would most likely happen.

When a guy from US comes to Europe (once ina blue moon) and loses, then he gets disowned by the Americans. Like Taylor when he lost to Froch. How high is his profile in USA now? Or if he's not disowned, then they blame it on the judges or the weather or an injury. Pathetic...

Lennox Lewis made their annual "pound for pound" list at least twice by my memory during his reign.

Calzaghe made it onto the same list 3 times, as did Ricky Hatton.

Generally ; Heavyweights are not considered for the list though.

Throughout the entire 90's the # of times a Heavyweight made the "P4P" list can be counted on one hand.

Those that did make it were Tyson (pre-Douglas), Bowe, and Holyfield.

Lewis didn't get full recognition until the 2000's began because of the title picture at the time.

              You're hilarious.

Nobody liked Taylor after his horrible run of boring title defenses @ 160 against the likes of Ouma and Spinks.

Most people were happy to see Pavlik KO him.

              I know I rejoiced.

                Ok fair enough

At the end of the day it doesnt really matter because most euros support fighters from their country and then may have a few fighters they like from america and other places. Look for example at the reception that floyd got in london, it was big, he has a lot of fans there. I think its only a minority who support all euro fighters over all american fighters. Personally, i like a few from both areas. But even very good fighters like lennox still get slated by some in america, so its probably true that there are just some americans who will hate on euros whatever. That will get a similiar response from some euros and there we have it

But it has to be taken into account that even if very good fighters like lewis and calzaghe were american they would still have their fair share of doubters in america too because of style etc, just that they wouldnt be called eurobums

Bottom line...the european fans bring it upon themselves...

I'm thinking about that one.... maybe so but there may also be a lot of provoking by certain people, there may also be a reaction to the term eurobum which i see a lot on boxing forums

Because British boxers don't go over to America until they've got a big enough fanbase to make the promoters some cash.

Look at Hatton and Witter for example.

What if Witter was the popular fighter and Hatton wasn't.

Would Hatton still have had that chance against Kosta, Mayweather or Pacman?
