Why are Americans so negative about European fighters?

Why are Americans always trying to put down our greatest fighters?? Like when I mention Steve Collins and how he was gonna fight Roy Jones. It's a fact Jones turned him down btw, as he turned down Nigel Benn. But you guys say "oh, Collins wasn't that good, he only had a good chin and heart". It's a fact that Europeans are all technically skilled fighters, the famous ones anyway. Yet somehow the Americans don't feel that way.

Same thing with Dariusz Tiger Michalczewski. This guy reigned for 9 years as champion and beat Virgil Hill, Montell Griffin, Richard Hall and Derrick Harmon, in other words top LHW's of that time; yet everybody in America thinks he's overated and that Jones would've easily beaten him. RJ, however talented, had a gift for avoiding dangerous European fighters and making it look as tho THEY were avoiding HIM. That is a fact also.

It seems like most Americans have a hard time accepting that Europe has its legends that could be just as great as the American ones. I've noticed also that Calzaghe is often belittled and criticised by American boxing fans. I never cared wether a fighter is American, European or from some other continent. If I like him, I like him because of his boxing skills and heart. And his behaviour outside the ring.

Nah hes right, even the phrase 'Eurobum' is now in existance. I think its because Europeans have a boringish style even if technically gifted

The only one I don't like is hatton. I don't like him because he fights dirty, his style is BORING, he makes excuses and he pretends to be nicer than he really is (talks crap and so on)...kinda like odlh when he went against Mayweather. Other than that, I like a lot of European fighters. But I don't look at things like that. I look at who the fighter is, how he fights and how he conducts himself out of the ring.

            Klitschkos
            Khan
            Pacquiao
            Cotto (current favorite)
RJJ (hope he retires before he gets hurt)

Those are my favorite fighters right now. It ain't about nations or ethnicity with me and most fans I suspect.
