Who's gonna argue that America is the mother of commercialism, major corporations, lemmings, zombies, trendy ass people...that's the recipe for selling.

I'll put it this way. The only reason why Pacquiao is where he is, is because he started fighting in the states. If he stayed in the P.I. smashing on everyone, he'd just be a local hero working for 1500 pesos a fight.
well yeah, i agree with some of it. that they should go to the states to become superstars yeah. but the thing is some of them did. what about Lennox Lewis for example he went over there, he had half of his fights in america. he beat holyfield, tyson(past it i know), klitschko and a bunch of other good guys. he dominated the heavyweight division. yet he did all that and he didnt become a superstar. and not only in boxing, what about the music industry. just look at the beatles, led zeppelin, rolling stones and so on, none of them became big superstars in america even though they went over there. damn i doubt americans even know who the beatles even was. + some american guy also shot and killed john lennon, that kinda proves that the beatles or atleast john.l wasnt very popular over there or atleast heavily disliked.

so i mean its no wonder brittish and europan fighters stay home instead of going over there, i mean they are never going to get famous or respected in the states anyway. while here in europe they will be very respected, very rich and very famous.

They started cricket, India and South Africa are the best now
They started Football, Brazilians have dominated and England has one world cup at home which was a dubious.

Are the British going to dominate boxing. No ****ing chance

Because Britain's 60 million population compares to that of America's 300 million and Brazil's 100 million. Lets not forget about India's 1 billion population.

      Person 4 Person, we dominate.

We should start ripping off other sports and playing them amoungst ourselves like the Yanks so we can be dominant.

Prove this wrong....tell everyone it's invalid again if you dare....

2009. The year british boxing died.

Here were your 3 biggest names....considered your top talent.

              Calzaghe retires.

Hatton gets absolutely decimated and exposed. It becomes an embarrassment of gargantuan proportions to the UK and the Hatton fans.

Haye writes checks with his mouth, and we find out his ass couldn't cash them. He was their last hope. And boy, what a longshot of a hope he was. Him backing out today was the proverbial nail in the coffin...

Brazil are a lot poorer than England. English kids from day one play in a full well maintned football pitch. While brazilians play with barefeet yet won 5 world cups.

Ah, you used the word talent.

Is Hatton top 3 in terms of talent? No. Is he able to pull 30k people across 5000 miles for one of his fights? Yes.

Your argument has been made invalid again.

Look at the 80s, hardly a golden decade for British boxing. Then we get Lennox Lewis.

So 3 of our biggest names "died". Two of them without losing in the ring. And the other losing against the P4P King.

                    We're all devestated.

                      Well maintained football pitches?
