British Boxing ready to dominate the Sport?

Look at the talent Britain has coming through and the fighters we have on the verge of doing big things.

    David Haye
    Tyson Fury
    David Price (Olympian)
    Derek Chisora
    Tony Bellow
    Nathan Cleverly
    Tony Jeffries (Olympian)
    Kenny Anderson
    James DeGale (Olympian)
    George Groves
    Billy Joe Saunders (Olympian)
    Darren Barker
    Craig Mcewan
    Jamie Moore
    Martin Murray
    Trevor Crewe
    Kell Brook
    Jamie Cox
    Amir Khan (Olympian)
    Frankie Gavin (Olympian)
    John Murray
    Liam Walsh
    Kevin Mitchell
    Gary Sykes
    Martin Lindsay
    Paul Appleby
    Ryan Walsh
    Stephen Smith
    Joe Murray (Olympian)
    Rendall Munroe
    Michael Walsh
    Don Broadhurst
    Ashley Sexton

These fighters have all shown great potential early in there careers, some have won different titles but none have peaked just yet. A lot of them are prospects.

British Boxing right is the strongest it has ever been.

I seriously think Great Britain is on the verge of a Boxing boom with all these guys. What i'm hearing too is theres another batch of youngsters just as good ready to follow them.

Id say in the next 3-5 years we'll see a lot more British world champs. Maybe there wont be another Calzaghe but depth wise the talent pool is endless.

they could , but im not saying they will. but if they do start to dominate then don't expect them to get any respect from the americans what so ever.

i do think however that its only a matter of time before brittish and european boxing is dominating, maybe not with these fighters but eventually maybe with the next generation of fighters. america is on a downfall when it comes to elite fighters and fans, most importantly fans and exposure. when there is fewer people watching boxing over there then it will also be fewer people practising the sport.

it will be the same as it always is some will go to the top and others will not. Britain will never dominate in a global sport unless it track cycling and rowing

I've been impressed by a few of them like Brook, Cleverly and Groves but I think quite a few of them will start struggling once they step up in class and obviously the Olympians haven't been seriously tested yet so it's hard to say.

British boxing could stagnate in a few years though because of the lack of TV exposure over there, I mean Setanta is out of business and I think ITV is getting out of boxing next year and from what I hear Sky doesn't broadcast much boxing.

What i think we'll see is a lot of the top AM fighters heading over to Europe and America to start their pro careers. I dont think it'll stagnate because theres very good money availible to the AM's now from Lottery funding.

In the higher weight classes especially British and especially other European fighters will and already are dominating. Most of America don't fight in the lower weight classes and without a dominant American heavyweight many stopped watching unfortunately, leading to less Americans fighting. The lower weight classes will always be dominated by Hispanic and Asian fighters.
