IMO, the only way UK boxers and European boxers are gonna make it to "rock star" status is if they make their bones, paying their dues in the states. Solely based on the the fact that the money's here in America. It also has to do with packaging and marketing. Who's gonna argue that America is the mother of commercialism, major corporations, lemmings, zombies, trendy ass people...that's the recipe for selling.

I'll put it this way. The only reason why Pacquiao is where he is, is because he started fighting in the states. If he stayed in the P.I. smashing on everyone, he'd just be a local hero working for 1500 pesos a fight.

      Wlad and Vitali disagree.

So does their whole German fanbase.

Tell me an active American fighter who can draw like the Klits and Hatton?

        Rhetorical question

I think Darren Sutherland has the style to be a good pro, Gavin looks good as well he's body punching very early into his career which shows a good boxing IQ. Degale i'm not quite sold on yet, Fury is going no where and Saunders also has a good pro style.

The obvious ones which should reach world class are Khan (already there), Cleverly, Kell Brook and Kevin Mitchell possibly.

But I also like the look of the Americans Daniel Jacobs, Dirrell, Ward, not sold on Wilder but they don't have a huge amount of prospects left after Angulo and Ortiz lost

              Give Fury a little chance.

I think the guy can be a top heavyweight if he gets a good trainer. He seems to have no discipline in regards of his diet though. Uncle Huey is going to carry him to world level, someone like Steward should investigate.

In the last 4-5 years British fighters have a big edge against American head to head. FACT

                  Yanks are hypejobs.

Depends on T.V money as to who well they do, as has been mentioned. But we certainly won't dominate, we don't make many little men for a start, and the higher weight-classes will be dominated by the Eastern-Bloc generally, due to the sheer amount of fighters that will leap of that conveyor belt.

In all fairness, the fact that someone like Jamie Moore hasn't fought for a world-title yet probably raises a lot of questions. If he was American, he'd be fairly big-time, win or lose, and would have probably had a couple of cracks at a title.

I'd put my house on Frankie Gavin being a world-champion, though.
