You are talking about a boxer (Cotto) who has been denied twice, the right for the title of his oponents on his same division. Does anybody remembers that when fighting Margarito and Clottey, Cotto was denied by their oponent's organization to fight for their titles and the on title that were on the table for those fight was Cotto's being his oponents champions also.

Why should Cotto care less know if he has or does not have to put his title on the line and much less pay $400,000.

Manny cant have it both ways,fighting @ 145,getting 65% of the purse,letting Cotto pay $400k.

Cotto would willingly let Manny fight for the title if the purse sharing changes and possibly remove the 145 cap.If Manny wants to win a belt @ 147 he has to do it properly,no favours for a miser,pay Cotto properly.

If Manny was real interested in to adding to his legacy by winning a WW title he could had gone an beat Berto for his title under much easier circumstance and less risk. cotto did'nt get screwed. clottey and margarito gave up their titles because they were going to get stripped. and cotto agreed with it as long as he got paid more.
