pacquiao will stay on his toes throughout the first 6 and try to outbox Cotto and prevent hm from using his big money makers by not letting Cotto hit anything. Pac will stay in the middle of the ring and use that to his advantage due to superiour agnle movement , the ropes and corners are danger zones.

Cotto will come out and try to time pac, while maintaining a steady stiff jab keeping pacquiao in his reach stalking him. theyll go toe to toe a couple times ealier and although pacquiao may be throwing more Cotto is slowly pushing Pac back with power. The first couple rounds will be felt out by Cotto trying to match handspeed. the later rounds he will be timing Pacquiao perfectly neautralizing his speed. eventually timing th eperfect shot to stumble pacquiao.

Once pacquiao is hurt he will try to fight it out and regain consciousness but Cotto will charge and finish him off somewhere in the 8th.

The best part about this fight is the viewer all thier well paid money worth
if it will take cotto 6rds to time pac, hes gonna get knocked out.

I see it as a Pacquiao win by KO think he'll exploit Cottto's stamina probs & his speed of hand & shots coming from all angels & body work will be too much for Cotto & Pacquiao can hurt Cotto anytime whether he can finish the job early is interesting given that this is the most prime welter his faced i see Pacquiao by KO mid to late rounds

If he slips up any round its lights out. pac has to really fight a perfect fight any mistake will cost him

pacquiao has weighed about the same fight night during the delahoya fight as he did at 135 and his last few fights at 130.

Pacquiao wasn't tired at all against Oscar, however, he did slow down a bit later against Diaz, but that probably had to do with the fact Pacquiao had won everyround.

brilliant fight, a dream p4p fight two years ago becomes reality now. you know what they say in boxing? that's absolutely correct and proven again now.

this fight can go so many ways and i'm very curious who will be the agressor in this fight, pacquiao can box very well now and i think he will use his controlled agression he's had in the de la hoya and hatton fights. cotto we all know can box too but will he want to insert his size on pacquiao and risk walking into that tsunami like attack of pacquiao? pacquiao's speed is the key, cotto's jab and timing may possibly find the answer. if it doesn't pacquiao wins.

I see Roach implementing the same type of gameplan on Cotto as they used against Oscar.

Stay away as much as he can for a few rounds while he feels things out, picks his spots.

Problem with that is Oscar was shot, weight drained and didn't throw back...Cotto will.

                  Can Pac take his punch?

I'll copy and paste a post I made a couple of days ago.

This is how I see it playing out.

First few rounds I think will be cautious, I think Pacquaio will be on the outside using his movement, Cotto will be the one coming forward, Pacquiao will try to throw combinations, darting in and out while Cotto tries to figure out and time Pacquiao with his jab. The intensity of this fight will go up as the rounds go on. I think Pacquiao will win the majority of the first 4 rounds because it normally takes Cotto a few rounds to really get going and figure his opponents out, while he's trying to figure Pacquiao out, Pacquiao will be doing all the flashy stuff, throwing combinations, moving side to side, in and out and doing enough to win the rounds.

This is a little out there but I also expect Pacquiao to get to Cotto early, Cotto has defensive lapses and knowing Pacquaio and Roach, they'll want to get Cotto's respect early and hard so I wouldn't be surprised at all if we see Cotto hurt early in the fight, maybe not to the point of getting knocked out or even knocked down but hurt enough to make him respect Pacquiao's power.

The mid rounds should be the best of the fight, Cotto would have warmed up and Pacquaio always fights for 12 rounds, Cotto's jab and timing I think will give Pacquiao problems here but Pacquiao's speed, explosiveness and angles will make things very interesting and competitive, I expect to see quite a lot of vicious exchanges in this part of the fight. I expect one or even both of them to get cut around this time of the fight, both have shown that they can fight through cuts but it takes Pacquiao a bit longer to recover from getting cut, Cotto just works through it. I think it'll be a very even fight by the end of 9.

In the late rounds, meaning 10-12, I think Cotto will start to fade, the weight making while not that drastic will have an affect on Cotto and he has a habit of fading in his really tough fights, I think this will be a really tough fight for both of them, Pacquiao hasn't faded in the past, Cotto has. I think roles will be reversed in the last few rounds with Pacquiao coming forward and Cotto moving around on his bike, noticeably trying to run out the clock and maybe try and steal some rounds. But I don't think he'll be able to.

So, I think Pacquiao wins this fight close decision, somewhere along the lines of 115-113 to 116-112 but I wouldn't count out a late stoppage win for the Pacman when Cotto fades.

I think it'll be a high speed chess match that becomes a brawl on occasion.

                      Size - Cotto
                      Speed - Pacquiao
                      Power - Cotto
                      Jab - Cotto
                      Timing - Cotto
                      Footwork - Pacquiao
                      Angles - Pacquiao

All of that is greatly debateable besides size and speed. Cotto has a sneaky speed but Pacquiao definitely has the advantage, Pacquiao has better footspeed too and angles but Cotto is one of the best in the sport of measuring distance and closing down space if he can time Pacquiao with the jab that will greatly reduce Pacquiao's punch output and he can force him to the ropes, finally power.. Pacquiao you can say has as much power as Cotto truth is we don't know for sure but we know Cotto can take fully fledged Welterweight's power, can Pacquiao?

I see this as Cotto Jab/Size vs Pacquiao Speed/Angles
