I'm pretty sure since boxing uses weight classes, then the only way to compare the two would be exactly by weight. If they are off by a lb then one would have to call it a legitimate comparison.
He will defo be from 2-10....fact is jmm is the one going up weights...no matter how long floyd has had a layoff....if it was floyd going to his weight...or even meetin halfway it would of meant a hell of alot more
Don't be mislead by Floyds jibberjabber. He's out to sell a fight here and it sells much better if people thinks it's a battle for p4p supremacy. Joe Average may buy it. Boxing fans will not.
Interesting thought that JMM might rate higher than Floyd even though he loses. I haven't really thought about that, but it would be hard to rank him above Floyd despite him being at a huge weight disadvantage wouldn't it?
I can agree with this statement depending on JMM's performance.
I wouldn't rate Floyd lb 4 lb #1 even if he beat both JMM and Pacquiao. He should be fighting Cotto or Mosley.
A while back I didn't have a problem with catch weights, but now that we've had Pacquiao/Delahoya, and are looking at JMM/May, I think it's getting ridiculous. These little guys are skipping a whole division to make these fights happen, and in the end I don't think it proves much. We as fans should demand that a fighter clean out or at least beat the best fighter in a division before looking to other divisions for opponents. Though I suppose those demands won't make a difference as long as "Joe Average" keeps buying into it.

Floyd would have a good case for being p4p no.1 if he beats Manny. Even if it's at 147 IMO.
No. Mr boat buyer will probably get a spot in the top 5 if he wins, but he wouldn't be #1.
Why not Pac's best wins are Marquez, the only fights where he didn't fight past there prime microwaved fighters and that is still questionable becauuse i know alot of people including myself that feel marquez won both bouts. If Floyd beats him even slightly better he slides past him. This is still a non issue though...Floyd is still P4P king. Bob Arum may as well get the title over Pac being that he controls that man like a slave.
