Mayweather vs. Pavlik or JMM vs. Mayweather. Equally (un)fair?

So now Floyd Mayweather fights JMM at 144-145 lbs thereby forcing him to move up 2 full weightclasses.

Wouldn't it be the same as Mayweather fighting Pavlik at 158?

    Facts:

Mayweather has fought 5 fights at or above welterweight.

JMM has fought only twice as a lightweight.

Which matchup seems most fair to you or would you consider those fights equally (un)fair?

Yeah but the question is if other objective factors should count.

Jesus... Some people are idiots on this forum.

Mayweather and Marquez are approximately the same size. Maybe a one inch height advantage for Mayweather. People choose to forget that Marquez and Mayweather have fought in the same divisions (130, 135).

Pavlik has at least 5 inches of height on Floyd. Not only that, Pavlik holds a 13 pound weight advantage from mayweather's weight.

You guys have excuses for everything... What's the excuse?

Some people say he isn't a real contender at 147 because he doesn't have enough fights there, others say he's too big for marquez, while others admit he's a small welterweight. He comes back to fight the #2 pound fo pound guy and you guys are looking for **** to nit-pick at.

I thought you're suppose to be a respectable poster. this thread is a crock of ****. marquez is 5'7 and mayweather is 5'8. end of story.

pacquiao gave hatton at 140 the most brutal knockout that he has never even given to any fighter in the lower weight classes. stop with this weight class BS cuz it's just hate talk. its a fair fight.

Last time I checked there was 12 pounds between JMM and Floyd and 13 pounds between Floyd and Pavlik. Boxing has WEIGHT divisions. Not HEIGHT divisions.
