Really? Margarito used to fight at 154. He could probably fight at 160 and be successful if he wanted to (well, could have).

I think the sizes in terms of weight are comparable. But you make a good point about him fighting at 145.
    Thanks.

      Yes.

That might be pushing it a bit for cotto, IMO, but then again I'm not apart of cotto's training camp. I'm sure if he really wanted to he could still be fighting at 140.

Thank you, you sure arent.. so please stop explaining how 1 pound wont make a difference, when you dont have the slightest clue if ACTUALLY does or not..

if 1 pound doesnt make a difference.. then WHY are they making him do it?

to make it more even? hence making coto smaller? hence making him less of the fighter he is at 147...

Because man, like we've been over, Oscar was a 154 pound fighter Pacquiao was a 135 pound fighter. 147 was a "meet you in the middle" agreement they had. And even then pacquiao only weighed in at 142 pounds.

A fight between Cotto and Pacquiao is going to take place. It's amazing that this fight can even occur in the first place and yet, to some of you all you care about is that one pound. Be happy they are giving us such an awesome fight. This is truly a fight for the fans.
if the weight wasnt such a big deal, then why do you think this fight isnt signed yet? best believe team pac is trying to drain cotto as much as possible

its obvious man! why cant you see that

But reed, I'M GOING BY WHAT COTTO'S CAMP AND COTTO HAVE PUBLICLY STATED. What else is there to go off of? If cotto says he can make 145 no problem, who are you to say he can't? That's what we have to go on so you and I should take his word for it, being that cotto is miguel cotto and only cotto knows his own body.

MAKING 145lbs... and being your best at 145lbs are TWO different things.

I NEVER SAID, Cotto COULDNT make 145lbs...
