i have to say 145-146 pounds should take place. nothing lower or higher than that otherwise it will put the other fighter in a misadvantage. my opinion only so dont start a troll

      ***** MOVE.
I would have to agree with that considering JMM ain't bitching about
fighting Floyd at 144 and Pac has fought above and at 140 already.

cotto is requesting for a 145 fight and pac wants to stay in 143 and its pacman fault? cotto is just begging for 145 by making most of the contract and pac just rejected and its his fault?

cotto fans needs to understand that he dont hold the cards,he is just like an applicant applying for a job and it can be accepted/rejected by the owner of the business, its perfectly clear that 143 is the catchweight if you want a pac fight even before cotto-clottey.

its also pretty wierd that the one who make the contract is from cotto team, it shows who want the fight more, but the thing is cotto team maybe are not reading the news and didnt know that one of the conditions to get a pac fought is the fight will be @ 143. At least mosley knows how to read the news and says that he will fight @ 143
Miguel Cotto has said from the start that he was NOT going
below 145 when the thought of them fighting first surfaced.

You know damn well that Miguel Cotto ain't fighting Paul Williams.

Great point. JMM is coming up 9 pounds to fight a man that sat atop the P4P list and is still in his prime. Pacquiao fought at 140 and 147 and looked impressive in both and is being asked to go up to 145. However there is one big difference in the parallels. That is that Mayweather is calling the shots in his match and JMM is the smaller man looking for the $$$ where as Pacquiao is calling the shots in his match against the bigger man looking for the money. Though I agree that the fight is fair at 145 JMM is getting the opportunity of lifetime by moving up in weight whereas Pacquiao is offering that opportunity by moving up in weight.

I think Cotto could give a **** about an extra 2-3 million and just wants the fight. He feels he can win and will make up that 2-3 million ten fold on another date. Personally, I think as stated that Roach has something to do with this and I think he just feels that Cotto is a SERIOUS threat to Paq. I'd like them to see them fight at 147 since it is for a title, however, I'm not going to take anything away from Paq because unlike Mayweather at least he's trying to fight a guy. I don't think Mayweather would fight Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Berto, Clottey or Williams if Mayweather was 147 and all the others were 135.
very good post. we are getting too much drama from pac's camp.

pac already fought DLH at 147, so what's the problem with cotto?? fear??

everybody knows that cotto was having problems doing the 140. he feels good at 147 and if pac want the fight do it at 145 like cotto already agreed.
what else pac or roach want?? 80%-20%??

c'mon..i'm a fan of pac but where's the humble pac?? where all this drama come from?? roach?? or the new mayweather sr??

True that and I don't think that anyone other than a sadist would want to see that fight. Cotto would not stand a very good chance in that fight. This is coming from a Cotto fan.

Hell with this fight, Pac should just stay at 140 and Cotto should just fight ww opponents. Like some of you said, Pac is not a true ww and Cotto is too big for Pac.
