I think if it really is the case of where Pacquiao won't concede to 145, then I think Cotto should try to get Paul Williams to come down to 147 to fight him. Mosley may not take that fight, and by your logic Paul will be drained as ****. Right?

If Cotto won't go any lower than 145, why doesn't Team Pac just make it at 147 for the WW title? Pac can make history. And its "only" another 2 lbs.

He said he would prefer Cotto to come in at 142 or 143. He's not saying he absolutely won't take the fight if it's at 145. That's the difference. I'd like it to be at 147 if it happens, but it is what it is.

And by the way I beleive that Roach is behind this request. Keep in mind that we had a thread here saying that Pacman had accepted to fight at 145 and after that there was another thread saying that Roach would request it to be lower than 144.

From all the looks of it, Pacman had a verbal agreement with Arum after the Clottey fight an that's what Arum presented to Cotto and it was He agreed also.

That's why Arum has said that he had sent a very good proposal for Pacman which was confirmed by his lawer. During this whole process, I beleive Pacman has receive some advise from his team (Roach) that might be changing his opinion.

Just by reading this news for me is a done deal because in the last fight negotiations from Pacman side, there has been a lot of demands and for him to come out and say that "the deal is 80% done" a that negotiations are "running smothly" is very surprising and indicative we will be seing this fight in November.
