I think Cotto could give a **** about an extra 2-3 million and just wants the fight. He feels he can win and will make up that 2-3 million ten fold on another date. Personally, I think as stated that Roach has something to do with this and I think he just feels that Cotto is a SERIOUS threat to Paq. I'd like them to see them fight at 147 since it is for a title, however, I'm not going to take anything away from Paq because unlike Mayweather at least he's trying to fight a guy. I don't think Mayweather would fight Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Berto, Clottey or Williams if Mayweather was 147 and all the others were 135.
Your bugging........140 Arum kept Cotto in the closet and said publicly
Cotto wasn't ready (Remember Cotto was at the Gatti fight and could
have got it if he really wanted it) Floyd called Mosley out on numerous
occasions even after one of his fights. Margarito wasn't worth it instead
left Arum and opted for De La Hoya (Can't blame him), Berto? PLEASE!
Clottey? He needs to win a significant fight because he lost 2 big ones.
Williams? Nobody is trying to krack at Williams in the 147 division so
why all the pressure on Floyd? Cotto has Williams WBO belt that he
    didn't win from Williams.

That is that Mayweather is calling the shots in his match and JMM is the smaller man looking for the $$$ where as Pacquiao is calling the shots in his match against the bigger man looking for the money. Though I agree that the fight is fair at 145 JMM is getting the opportunity of lifetime by moving up in weight whereas Pacquiao is offering that opportunity by moving up in weight.
Pac may be using the money as a bargaining chip. 60/40 split and if Cotto agrees to drop to 143, the split may be renegotiated to 55/45; Cotto may bite if Manny threatens to walk away otherwise.

Cotto agrees to 145, Pacman wants 143, they will probably agree at 144, but it should cost Pacman a little more money.

Yogi Berra once said "Half this game is ninety percent mental." and i have no idea what he meant either. Has Cotto got a few more letters left in his name to sign or what. Like the other guy said, shut up until it 100% done.

I'm more worried about the remaining 20%. And so should Cotto fans.

Williamsd vacated the belt, he left the ww division so the belt was up for grabs, not cottos fault. Mosley has cottos belt, but cotto alrdy beat mosley and im sure he will again.
