It wasn't at a catchweight but it had both fighters fighting at a lower weight and therefore not at the best of their abilities. It's like now wanting Cotto to fight at 143 and after he said no, wanting an October date to not allow sufficient time for the cut to heal. I that doesn't happen, then they'll probably try a max weight on fight night or a huge ring or some crappy gloves that don't benefit the puncher.

Im inclined to agree. I think we need to separate what the fighter wants from what his promoters and managers want. I think its the same thing with Juanma and Caballero. In the latter case Arum doesnt appear willing to risk losing his "next big star," even though I believe Caballero gets KOd by Juanma at 122. Confident fighters (elite or up-and-coming) believe they can beat anybody that stands across from them. Pac is not scared at all. Roach, on the other hand, might be reassessing the fight. After all it was Pac that told Arum to make the fight after Cotto/Clottey not Roach. Mayweather may be a better stylistic matchup for Pac anyway.

Nah, Mayweather's counter ability and patience would be a nightmare
