Errrr... It's because he'd get a butt whooping...According to B'talk Hopkins turned down $4 million big ones to fight Kessler in Denmark. This is a shame, I think it would have made for an intriguing clash. I would like to know why Hopkins turned it down, whether it was the money, venue or something else?

Hopkins flat out turned the offer down. As did Pavlik, Taylor, Dawson etc.
Today the situation is different. Kessler offers noone anything as long as he battles his promotor in court. Failure of securing a big fight is likely one of the reasons for the dispute.Comment
