looks like a better resume than cotto to me.

i'll take losses over tito and oscar over a loss to margarito anyday.
Tito ruined Vargas, if Vargas' corner had pulled him out after the 8th round he might still be a top fighter but the extra beating and low blows he took ended his career at the elite that night. Margs IMO did the same thing to Cotto but his fans don't want to admit it. I'm sure after he gets his ass handed to him in either a Margs rematch, a Mosely rematch, or a beatdown by Pac they will realize that Miguel is done at that level. I like the guy and I give him alot of credit to fight some of the best ww of this era but believe me he is done at the elite.

i don't know who cotto would be.. i don't see him as the new tito though.
I don't see why you should. I think in a way the same thing, I just hope that isn't the case. But I could tell you Perro(who already lost) & Arreola are closer to being like Vargas than Ortiz.

His first loss was a DQ if I remember correctly

He was defeating Margarito until he hurt his hands...kinda hard to fault him for that.

And there is nothing wrong with losing to the best WW in the world. He had moments to close the show and he couldn't, but you could also make a case that Cotto dug just a bit deeper to win the championship rounds.

tito ruined the boy. vargas would have been better off if he had gotten ktfo in the 1st against tito.

We'll see, I see Miguel having more heart and a stronger mentality than Vargas. It could have been very easy for Miguel to quit after the roughing up he endured in rounds 7-8-9 of the Clottey fight, but he didn't. He didn't fold like a tent. It tells me alot about his mental fortitude and his ability to come back.
