Is Cotto the new Vargas?

After watching Cotto struggle with the fringe contender Clottey I think Cotto might be finished at the highest level similar to how Vargas was done after his beating by Tito. Margs and his "special" cast might have ruined Miguel.

So you would say Clottey was an elite fighter? He is only a contender that has always lost at the highest level. He beat a faded Chico and a shot Judah but besides those wins he failed against the 2 best close to prime fighters he fought. Clottey = contender not elite.
