i respect pac i think if it was up to him he'l fight cotto at 147 but roach and arum wont allow it,and manny has no say-so, arum is the head of the business.
i hope cotto wont let the money dictate his decision and agree to 143 only to get his ass destroyed for a paycheck,is not worth it, it'l hurt his standing as one of the best today.
he could move on and give mosley the rematch, give clottey a rematch(wont happen though),fight berto,fight williams(wont happen) but still he could move on and make money elsewhere, not as much though

few fighters are scared of an opponent. they've been fighting their whole lives.

I don't think fighters are scared of other fighters from a physical point of view. But they are aware of the consequences if they lose. Why does Pacquiao go out of his way to leap over all of these guys like Soto and Campell? There were two occasions of where Soto was slated as Manny's opponent, and Pacquiao saw dollar signs with De La Hoya and a disinterested Barrera. I wonder if it's Pacquiao's fans who are afraid of him taking a loss. He is that important to the Phillipines, I'll admit. But I can't respect fighters that fight for themselves and not the fans. Pacquiao is an exciting fighter inside the ring, but his behavior outside of it leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm pretty sure DLH, David Diaz and probably even Ricky Hatton weighed more than Manny on fight night, so I ask, is Cotto weighing 10 lbs more on fight night THAT big a deal? 2. and regarding the Pac would be discredited anyway. well don't you agree that just about EVERYONE to a certain extent can discredit a win .. if you REALLY think about it.
