I wonder if it's Pacquiao's fans who are afraid of him taking a loss. He is that important to the Phillipines, I'll admit. But I can't respect fighters that fight for themselves and not the fans. Pacquiao is an exciting fighter inside the ring, but his behavior outside of it leaves a lot to be desired.
believe me. soto and campbell were NOT bigger risks than delahoya.

people just revising history because oscar didn't show up.

everyone thought manny had no chance against oscar. i thought oscar would take manny's head off.

when could a soto fight have been made?

don't forget that washed up barrera was still ranked higher than soto at 130.

when did soto even get a belt at 130? end of 2008?

manny left 130 after the marquez fight in june.

campbell was not even top ranked at 135 'til he beat juan diaz. that was when march 2008?

    come on now.

if the fight is at a catchweight , fine. if it's at 147 , fine.

              i don't care.

tired of arguing the same thing over and over again.

roach is doing his job. he's trying to do what is best for his fighter.

to me it's unnecessary. i don't think 2 lbs. will make a difference.

              whether at a catchweight or 147 , it's a 50/50 fight for me.

pacquiao has nothing to lose. if he loses , he's not suppose to be fighting at 147 anyway.

roach will say whatever he wants. that's roach. doesn't change my opinion of pacquiao.
              Good post.

First of all, I think you ought to dead this "*******" ****, it's making you look cheap and I can't respect you nor take you seriously.

Secondly, I, like Mr. Pink, don't give a crap about the weight. There is no falling back, I'll be betting on Manny winning regardless of weight. Don't be painting all Pacquiao fans with the same brush!

this fight will go on. 144/45 lbs. & This weight drained argument is ridiculous. Ive never heard it so prominently blabbered about before the oscar fight.

Weight drained will only be used if the same situation happend to miguel cotto where he only gained 1 pound during rehydration.

                  I doubt that happens.

Cotto is no oscar. He's 28 in his prime. He will rehydrate to 154/55 & Pacquiao will get his proper due win or lose.

U can dissect any fighter, any great fighter's resume & find imperfect little details.

different era. also same day weigh ins.

armstrong fought a lot of his fights at 147 weighing 136-140.

                    his opponents were around 141-147.

fighters back then fought at the same weight pretty much they weighed in at.

when armstrong fought for the middleweight belt he only weighed around 140 BUT his opponent only weighed around 155 more or less.

lightweights now are the size of middleweights from the old days.

                    times have changed.

That's why I was asking "why are we sat here arguing over ONE ****ing pound of Cotto's body fat?" -- it's ******! He already said he'd do 144. How hard is it to get to 143 or just keep negotiating until he gets his wish to fight at 144?

I'm wasting my time here. We all are. This fight will get made and it will be at 144. I said this ****ing ages ago!
