He'd be dehydrated as hell. I remember YEARS ago Cotto looked like a skeleton trying to make 140. Manny step up and fight him at 147 and you will get FULL credit if you beat him. Beating Cotto at a weight he is not comfortable at will not be a good win.
Agree... he will not be in the HALL OF FAME that way, he should MAN up and be the man of ASIA he wants to be!!!

I've cut weight many times in my life, and it makes a lot of damage to your fighting ability if you get to much drained.

Those 2 pounds can really be a difference maker, sometimes it's even impossible to cut 1 last pound and not get hurt.

I see why Cotto isn't accepting this BS demand, and is sticking to 144-145, smart move from him, and ***** move by Roach if he want's Cotto to go low as 142-143. Especially after all the stuff he talked about how he doesn't wan't some guys to train anymore, because of injuries they sustained etc.

Cotto's nutritionist told Top Rank's Bob Arum, who promotes both fighters, that Miguel could only make a "safe" weight of 144 to 145-pounds at most. The Cotto camp would rather have it at 145. Roach wants to get Cotto down as low as possible. [details]
This is getting comical, Roach is being ridiculous now. He knows that by having these men struggle to make weight, they will be severely impacted, coming in at a disadvantageous position. This isn't about best pound for pound fighter in the world taking on the best. This is about fighting the best under certain conditions--gimme a break.

I discount the Dela Hoya win completely, he was a walking zombie that night because he had to kill himself to make weight and Cotto will struggle as well, if he comes in at 144/143.

he is trying to get a fair fyt for manny.

i hope they can have "same nyt weigh-in and fyt" at max WW limit of 147.
no fyter will be disadvantaged that way.

how can he possibly be disadvantaged at 145 against midget manny??
apparently cotto is willing at 145.
              he is comfortable in it.

i agree about your comments on manny.
but only if manny feels he can be competitive at 147.
              because freddie don't think so.....
IF i am manny, i'll go for 147 all the way....for glory.
there won't be any shame if he loses, as long as he still keep all his faculties.
              fans will admire him more....
re-read and re-read and re-read and re-read... and shtt the fck up.
