Currently, I would say Edwin Valero. The guy is a borderline sadist. He seems to come off as an ******* toward his sparring partners.

How so? Besides watching a handful of his fights I really don't pay attention to Valero because I think he is so over hyped.

Hitting Lalonde in the throat, hitting Hearns on the break in both fights, lacing (not sure if it was intentional as he was being held) Howard.

Pretty much all fighters have to be mean, beating the hell out of people isn't exactly a "nice" thing to do.

Mayorga is a mean bastard. Him telling Spinks he was gonna reunite him w/ his dead mother was probably the coldest **** I've ever heard.

I'd also throw in Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago. Tommy Gunn was a little *****.

Yeah, but you know what I mean. Some guys are just good at it, others take a perverse pleasure in it.

Do you think that punch in the throat was intentional?

I think he saw the opening and didn't give a **** if it was his throat, chin, temple, whatever.

I think he probably had a sadistic side to him when he entered the ring and took some pleasure in beating opponents. Maybe not Terry Norris, Roberto Duran level though.

Agreed. Any fighter with the type of ego Ray had must have taken some pleasure in beating their opponents. Ray was just a master at putting on a different face outside of the ring.

Homie why do you think he avoided Pryor so much.

I agree he's over hyped but I've never seen him lose in a "sparring" match. He roughs everyone up.

He leaves his chin open so a good sharp shooter should be able to KO him, but in terms of sparring he pounds his opponents. He and Urbano Antillon spar (it's on youtube) He is roughing up Antillon pretty easily.
