2 Reasons why Mosley is DEAD WRONG

Shane is a nice guy, but he's totally off base in his remarks about Cotto-Pac, and here's two major reasons why.......

    1. He's complaining about Cotto-Pac being an "in-house" fight by Top Rank. That's pretty hypocritical coming from a GBP partner, considering GBP does more "in-house" fights than anyone in the sport today. Examples....

    Diaz vs. Katsidis, and JMM
Casamayor vs. Santa Cruz, Katsidis, and JMM
JMM vs. Diaz, Casamayor, Barerra, and Juarez
    And thats just at lightweight!!

Besides, 4 of Pac's last 5 opponents have been GBP fighters. Shane's "in-house" complaint is ridiculous.

    2. Shane is calling for Top Rank to make Shane vs. Pac. Now if he was calling for Top Rank to make Shane vs. Cotto, his argument would have more teeth. But he's not. Instead of trying to make the fight against the guy who beat him, he is just mad that Cotto is getting the payday that he so desperately wants.

Point is though, Mosley IS more deserving of the Pac payday, he battered the **** out of margarito in his last fight, while Cotto struggled past a tough, but unspectacular opponent in Clottey. Arum, Pac and Roach don't want Pac vs Mosley, because Mosley would win, whereas they see Cotto slipping, but still respected, still a name and think, "This fight will sell, it's credible etc etc" and take that one.

Im not saying Cotto will lose but he is less of a threat than mosley.

I do see what you are saying, some of what mosley is saying is hypocritical, but it's not all wrong.

I don't think you're going to find one REASONABLE person to disagree with this Terry.

Solid post terry. Hoya singing the same tune makes it double desperate.

I just have to disagree with you on Shane being more worthy. What Shane is saying is "Hey Bob, Cotto is not deserving. But the guy who LOST to Cotto IS deserving"

Sorry man, I just can't see it.............

BTW, you are severely underestimating Clottey. IMO Clottey would give Shane all he wants and then some.

I respect your opinion, but you are wrong and here is why.

Bob Arum is not matching in house in the interest of creating the best possible fight, nor is he matching in house to keep his fighter busy, he is matching in house because Miguel Cotto is vulnerable, and he is not willing to risk having Cotto lose in a fight where he has to split the promotional revenue.

This simple truth of the matter is this.

Shane deserves a Manny fight more than Miguel does, but neither deserves it as much as Juan Manuel Marquez does.

I realise that Cotto beat Shane, but do you think Cotto would beat him in a rematch NOW?

But Shane is not calling out Cotto for a rematch. He is trying to get Cotto's opponent.
