Let me remind you of something that people tend to forget in light of Pacs recent performances.

LAST YEAR... IN MARCH... Pac was figthing at 130lbs, and was wobbled by Marquez.


Now... 18 months later... he WILL get hit by a 155lb Miguel Cotto...

Whether Pac can take THAT kind of power... is yet to be seen.

I just think people forget... this guy was figthing at 130lbs in March of last year...

and since then, he hasnt even been hit...

Maybe by Ricky... TWICE.

But NONE of those guys are Miguel Cotto... and Cotto will not cowher in the corner when Pacman lets his hands go... no... Cotto will do what he always does when someone punches him... he will flurry right back... at the same time... and he WILL hit Pacman.. harder than he has ever been hit in his career.

He got wobbled by 130lb Marquez for sure I saw it and yes he got hit once or twice by Osar and didn't like it and hatton hit him maybe 4-5 times that I can remember nothing really flush except a body shot or two. But do you think they were swinging and missing for no reason? he is a quick little bastard. Like trying to catch lightening in a bottle and that greasy fast speed is very hard to deal with. Cotto took some serious power shots but he gets wobbled himself. Oscar has a granite chin and Pacquiao hurt him pretty badily. never mind the weight drained his chin wasn't weight drained he took some serious punishment from pac and he had Oscar hurt and on the ropes. Miguel gets hurt he goes into retreat mode. If that happens in this fight Pac will win. if it proves that Pac can;t hurt Cotto before Cotto lands some thing big and remains the agressor then I think Cotto has a very good chance. I just can;t see Cotto winning the fight if he doesn;t tighten up his D. that punch Hatton got hit with might have knocked out a MW.....Lefty

Fair enough opinion... I have a problem with you thinking dehydration doesn't effect the chin, though..

Okay understood. I hope theres no catchweight, but if there is it shouldnt be lower than 145, and i think the fight will proberbly happen at this weight.

i hate when people say it will add to his legacy even if he loses at welter. what people will remember in 50 years time is whether he lost or not.

well if we want to get specific with it the WW title can be defend anywhere
between 141-147.

WWs are boxers who weigh more than 140 & less than or at 147.

I think Cotto will sign the contract if its at 145. manny can come in at whatever the hell he wants below 147 & above 140.


I don get these catchweights. if you look at all the division, they all have a weight range where you have to weigh in at.

like the baby bull & malinaggi fight where they agreed to a "catchweight' of 138.5 thats JWW & should be call'd a JWW fight instead of catchweight.
any weights above 135 & below 140 is consider JWW :RRONTFL:
