Pacman vs Mayweather or Cotto >>>>>>>>>> unification of 147

Yeh but what im saying is that the casual fans couldnt give a **** whether Pac fights the guys at 145 or 147. They'll watch him anyway.

But us boxing purists should demand Pac to move up to 147 to fight these guys rather than fighting them at a catchweight.

I fully understand the role of the casual fans but they'll watch the fight anyway as long as 2 great fighters are fighting.

And Hatton was a different story. He was a 140 pound fighter forever and blows up to like 190. He decided he'd take a crack at 147 and moved up, whereas pacman is a much naturally smaller fighter and has been at 140 for about a month, he's pushing his wight as it is.
Then stay at 140 and fight 140lbers... until you can fight 147lbers and 147lbs.

And you wont watch the fights regardless?? lol

Two pounds we're debating here, two pounds. Whoopdy do. Like boxingscene pointed out Pernell Whitaker vs JCC was at a catchweight at 145. Even the boxing purists forget this fact or simply don't even know it, all we remember is the fight. What's that say??

to me individual fights and boxers >>>> weight divisions

the romance of the weight divisions was lost a long time ago i think

Mosley/Cotto is a really good fight but i like Pacquiao being in the picture

Unification of 147 VS Pacman at 147>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pacman vs cotto at a catchweight

THAT WOULD BE HISTORY... THAT WOULD SELL MORE.

Instead you want a drained Cotto/Mosley, in which Pac wont get full credit.

It would be better to have a unified champion at 147.. and Have PAC fight them at 147, for the chance at yet ANOTHER historical weight class for Pac, and he would do it by beating the MAN.

and THAT would sell even more.

I also agree that if a concession has to be made on the fight, Cotto should not have to come in any lower than 145-146lbs.

I still don't know why the concession is needed though as Manny does not need that extra help to compete. He has proven his mettle and strength at the weight.

Cotto weighed in at 146 for Clottey. They should just make this at 147,there is nothing to say that pac cant weigh whatever he wants. I really cant see what the problem is with him taking this at 147,it would certainly give him more kudos if he did.

Really, two poiunds is draining Cotto? LMAO, just like Pernell Whitaker was drained when he fought JCC at 145?? Tell me, again, does anyone even mention that fight being at 145??? Hell no, all we talk about years and years later is the actual fight, it was historic. That's history, the fight. Not unification of 147 at the time!!!

Fair is fair. If cotto wants Pacquiao so badly, and being that the both of them are in two different weight classes, you must meet in the middle.

Unified champion Vs Pacman at the weight is more important... period.

We can still HAVE THE FIGHT... just make the fight... RIGHT.

If you want to beat a welter, beat him at welter, beat him at his best.
