Don't blame Pac, blame Mosley and all those that want to fight Pac so badly.

Pac moved up to 140 and everyone at 147 is drooling over the possibility to fight Pacman because he is the new Golden Boy, they all want that money. Mosley is absolutely obsessed with fighting pacquiao, he wont even talk about anyone else.

Pac doesn't need these guys he's the King of boxing right now and the biggest money maker, he could fight anyone and it would sell well at this point.

No one is forcing Cotto or Mosley to fight Pac, if anything it's the other way around - they are chasing the almighty dollar.

      Let's just be honest.

How much credit do either of these winners get?

      Mosley/Cotto beat PAC?
      What will they Say?

      Pac beats Cotto/Mosley UNDER 147lbs?
      What will they Say?

I would rather see two top ww champions fight and have a recognized champion in the WW division, rather than hear "Well Pac was too small" or "Cotto was weight drained".

Lets try not to pretend that Pac isn't targeting them as well...

If not, then exactly WHO is he targeting in HIS division?

He just beat the king of 140 in dominating fashion. Cotto wasn't even an option until his people started talking about him losing a couple pounds and fighting pacquiao.

Mayweather was the fight Pac & co. really wanted, so blame Mayweather for being a *****. And mayweather never fights any 147 pound fighters anyways so it really doesn't mess up the picture.

Lets say for instance I agree with you.. they are EVEN at the top.

            WELL LETS FIGHT THEN?!

Two EVEN WW Champions... and they can't take their eyes off Pac.
Wouldn't be an issue is PBF made himself available for Pac

So thats the reason he can't fight at 135 or 140?

My point still stands... how much credit will either get for a win?

If you want to fight welterweights, fight them at welterweight. If they are too big for you, then stay in your weightclass until you can fight them in theirs.

I'd rather see Mosley-Cotto at 147 than Cotto or Mosley vs Pac at 145.

                HOWEVER

I think one big point that you're missing is that majority of casual fans don't even know all the different of weight classes, let alone a few lb. differences in catch-weight.

How much credit will the winners get in terms of the scenarios you pointed out? TONS OF CREDIT from a casual fan's perspective.

Now let me ask you something, what do you think is the ratio of casual/hardcore fans who buy the tickets and PPV's?

Yes, that would be very interesting.. because if Pac beats Cotto/Mosley at 147lbs.. then it is a TRUE legit win.

He beat them at their best weight.

Under 147lbs, then there is excuses and reasoning for a loss with Cotto/Mosley.

Who is "they?" The only people who actually care about catch weights or being too small or too big are hardcore boxing fans. To the majority of fans and casual fans, none of that **** matters. Have you ever talked to a non-boxing junky who casually follows the sport?? They don't know **** about catch weights. If Pacman beats the crap out of Cotto and/or Mosley at 144, it's because Pacman is the reincarnation of bruce lee. If cotto and/or mosley beat pacman, it's because they are bad ass mofo's.

It's true, ask any casual fan about the Pacman/Oscar fight. You wont hear the words "weight drained" or anything of the sort.
