So he's the weakest of the top welters??? How many top welters are there?? Just Cotto, Clottey, and Mosley. You admitted that Cotto beat Clottey. Which leaves Mosley. Cotto has a win over Mosley. Berto and Margarito sure as hell arent top welters at this point. To come to the conclusion that Mosley is better than Cotto at this point is a little skewed because of the circumstances we learned about Margarito and the fact that in his last fight previos to that he was struggling and taken to 12 by Ricardo Mayorga who wasnt even ranked in the top 10 at welter at the time.

COTTO BEAT SHANE BARELY BUT AGAIN ITS NOT THE SAME COTTO , mayorga has been beat up badly but people need to stop acting like hes a punching bag like david diaz, mayorga maybe sloppy and awkward but the dude can fight!!! he weighd 170lbs when he fought mosley styles make fights, im going to get a lot of crap but i for one dont believe for a second that pac would beat mayorga,i dont care how bad his defense is.pac isnt packing the type of power to hurt mayorga.mosley is better than cotto no doubt at this point, cotto got ruined overnight by marg , i would rank marg a better welter than cotto at even though he has a lot of doubts to erase that is yet to be seen though..clottey may have won but cotto wanted it more it was more of a draw ill be rooting for cotto no doubt, i just dont like that the last 4 pac opponents have been previously ko'd why cant he ever take on a real challenge like mosley, he is supposed to be the best isnt he?

Manny and Roach must be very confident they can put a plane in motion to beat Cotto. This fight just happen not but 2 days ago and already there making a fight... Roach sees something in Cottos style that Manny can exploit to his advantage. Roach is a smart guy and I'll guarantee he has something up his sleeve... Cotto is the bigger stronger fighter, and the fact that they pulled the trigger so fast to get this fight tells me there extremely confident that even with the weight advantage they feel Manny can still win.

i hope it was the eye, cottos stamina sux, i dont think he d beat mosley at all in a rematch even at 37 mosley has more left in the tank, that said i will be rooting for cotto all the way ,noone hopes im wrong more than me, cotto has faced better fighters than pac as of late and deserves a big win like that, but im very skeptical i just think cotto lost that visciousness.i will be pullimg for cotto all the way.

Just curious, why do you say Cotto KOs Pacquiao, but then go on to say it's the best fight to make. Where as the Mosley-Cotto fight was a competitive scrap and the rematch would provide a linear champ regardless of who you thought won the first fight, and regardless of who you think will win the second one?

it takes 2 to make a catchweight fight, one to offer the catchweight and one to accept the catchweight.

if cotto don't like it, he can walk away and wash his hands of it all. but if cotto signs the contract, he has to accept some of the blame on his own shoulders.

roach said straight up that pac at 147 lbs was a one time deal and it was only for DLH money. also, pac officially weighed 142 lbs for a 147 lbs fight. not only that but pac officially weighed 138 lbs just a few months ago. pac has no business at 147 lbs and to level the playing field certain conditions must be asserted.

Mayorga always got by on toughness. He may be a better fighter than David Diaz but Diaz is far from being the punching bag you make him seem. Dude is a far better BOXER than Mayorga can dream of being. Dude has had an extensive amateur career and owns a win over Zab Judah in the amateurs. In every David Diaz fight aside from Pacquiao Diaz had had a higher connect rate than any of his other opponents including Kendall holt up to the point he got knocked out. You cant just throw out the words win "barely" when it's convenient. A Cotto win over Mosley was close and could have gone either way but you dont see Mosley crying robbery over it. He knew he was beaten.

Pacquiao's last 4 opponents are Marquez, Diaz, DLH, and Hatton. Marquez is ranked #2 p4p and arguably #1 p4p. There were boycotts of the DLH fight because it was supposed to be a circus and Manny just cashing in to get knocked out. It wasnt until afterwards that excuses came. WIth Hatton tens of thousands of people were predicting Hatton to outmuscle, outwork, and body shot Pacquiao to death. It wasnt until AFTER he destroyed him that he became a club fighter and mediocre.

Mosley's last 4 opponents: Antonio Margarito, Ricardo Mayorga, Miguel Cotto, Luis Collazo.
