i would like a rematch too but after a mosley rematch.

Regardless of what is said, we learned 3 things last night.

1)The 116-111 score, I had no idea Daddy Yankee was a judge.

        2) Clottey should be forced to wear cleats in his next fight.

        3) In all seriousness, Clottey won the fight.

Thats why Cotto started to fight like Oscar. Clottey had regular boxing boots with regular rubber. Whoever was in charge of setting up the ring probably knew the fresh paint was a bad idea. I bet you it was some PR dudes that set up the ring. Cotto's corner kept throwing water all over they're corner. Cotto walked Clottey to his corner while there was water on the fresh paint and slammed Clottey. This is all coincedents though right? When you have HBO running the show you never know whats going down. If you people don't think that crooked **** does'nt happen in big fights your fooling yourselves. It's funny I had Clottey winning at the end of the fight but I told everyone in the room that Cotto will win a split. I was right!
He went down hard & I'm sure he was in some discomfort but I was convinced after the behind the head shot he was trying to get the referee to deduct a point.mercante felt the same way I did because he told him to suck it up & be a champion.I agree with him.

Teddy got it right, anyone who says that cotto ran please stop adding posts on this site FOR REAL!! I'm a a boxing fan, and yes i may favor some fighters over others, i do not deny victory if it is earned over a fighter i favor. Yes clottey could have easily gotten the decision, but calling it a gift is absurd, it was for the taking but clottey showed no killer instinct, you have a man infront of you who cannot see (i still to this day wonder why the doctor never halted the fight to check the cut???? ) the cut happened in like the 2nd or 3rd round clottey should have ended it by the 4th - PERIOD!!! And to say cotto ran (you need to reevaluate your self, Cotto could have quite period, he was up on the cards and no one would have complained, but he showed what exceptional fighters do, and thats display the heart of a champion!!! Cotto has a arturo gatti like face, it simply does not hold up (yes this was a headbut) but it seems like every fight its adversity. I think cotto is alot fougher than we give him credit for, because clottey couldn't finish the job, not like cotto was mayweather elusive, its just within cotto's punching range is equivalent to HELL! that is the only way i see it, clottey knew the price to be paid if and when he entered that short distance, and people really need to comment on that. when u look back, it was a dam good fight.

              I had the same score.

Teddy is right, Clottey most definitely dropped the ball. I had it 114-113 for Cotto, but Clottey was beating Cotto up, and was in the position to do a whole lot more. He didn't even appear to be all that tired when he stopped punching. And I don't know what the hell happened with that flash knockdown. The stars aligned against Clottey on Saturday night, but he'll still be a force in the division I'm sure.

sorry to bounce right back with a post, but you conspiracy theorist can go to hell, some one from PR painted the ring, what a coincidence he had the everlast boots for a slippery mat, etc, etc. Yes clotty hurt his knee, he chose to continue, that says it all. And my hat goes out to him for continuing to fight, he could have quit also. A rematch is deserved, but beat it with that conspiracy shyt, they where in a fight, and injuries are all too common when you fight, the corner is supposed to give their fighter the best opportunity to win within the rules, and no one said anything to any tactics that where displayed from either fighter or their respective corners. So BEAT it Again with that conspiracy shyt!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with Atlas, Cotto's cut was seriously bothering him and he coundn't see any rights, but for some reason Clottey just sat there during most of the 12th. You don't do that in a close fight, I was wondering what the hell he was doing as well.
