You can't argue with what I said, it's true. What about when Clottey got slammed to the ground clearly screwed up his knee? The ref had no sympathy. Both fighters need to be treated equal in the ring it's only fair. I can't stand crazy fanboys that ignor every illegal thing they're fighter does. It's not fair to the other fighter. I'm tired of fans acting like animals because they want to see they're guy win. Both fighters go in there and do it they should be treated with respect.
Atlas Says Clottey Dropped The Ball, Could Have Won

It proved that Clottey can't close even after he headbutts an inch and a half gash over the other guy's eye in the 3rd round. That was proved beyond argument.Comment

atlas is right! Clottey stopped punching in the 12th & I don't know why because he had cotto on the retreat from 8-11, he was agressive & active but for whatever reason he chose to attack in the 12th.I like both fighters but while cotto was a warrior fighting on when he could have copped out before the 5th from the cut but fought in but I was disappointed in clottey milking the slip & behind the head punch.mercante had none of it & did a fantastic job lastnight in my opinion.just luke his dad when he pulled the scissors out & cut the tape himself instead of allowing a lull in action by having the corner fix it.we all know trainers seem to have slow hands when it comes to fixing tape.I think clottey had cotto on the run but just wasn't busy enough in the last round.teddy was right.what the hell! teddy has been on the ball lately by giving accurate commentary.he's stepped up his game too! I usually get irritated by his babbling & he repeats himself steady but recently I've actually enjoyed his commentary.Last edited by xAUGUSTUSx; 06-14-2009, 09:23 AM.Comment

Clottey acted de****ably during the last round, clearly trying to get the ref to take a point away from Cotto. Did Cotto or his corner ever try to get it stopped after the headbutt? Look at Miguel when the doctor went to look at him. There wasn't even a hint that he wanted the fight stopped and to take his chances on scorecards after 5; in retrospect a smarter decision than trying to fight a beast like Clottey for 9 more rounds with one good eye.

I agree with Atlas all the way. Clottey's jab f**kin' dissappeared when it could've been his biggest weapon to further open up the cut and offset the lateral movement of Cotto.
There were times in the late rounds when Cotto just kept moving and moving and Clottey's foot would get criss-crossed.
Somebody needs to show Clottey how to cut the f**kin' ring off, I mean, it is one of the first things taught in boxing 101. An elite fighter not knowing how to cut a ring off is just a no noComment
