I might be known to bash Cotto on these forums from time to time, but this article and writer is simply idiotic.

I scored it 115-112 for Cotto.

This dumbarse is saying Cotto is damaged goods now? How about if it wasn't for that fookin cut he would have won by a very wide margin, showing he is still at the top of his game.

Compubox does not show the amount of punches thrown (activity) and that has an impression on judges.

Fans of Clottey should give him credit for almost winning, but almost does not get you a "W". Ask Clottey why he stopped punching in the last two rounds, or why he thought it necessary for referee to take a point off?

Let's do something else, in the rematch, let's cut Clottey's eye on the third and let Cotto work on it for the remainder of the bout.

Cotto outboxed Clottey and won a Split decision that so far has not be contested by any other source. Check all other sources and sites and show me someone that had clottey ahead or thing he was robbed - reputable ones please.

Cottley gave a great fight and it was his to lose... yes all he needed was to throw punches in the last 3 rounds... but why he didn't.
are you sure compubox doesnt show how many they threw? cotto did not outbox clottey. no chance. if that was the case cotto would have landed alot more punches than clottey and he didnt. clottey actually landed more than cotto. nobody outboxed anybody here, it was just simply a close fight and ultimatly whilst 1 of the judges scorecards were a bit wayward, the right man still won. clottey has no1 else to blame except himself, you cant drop the workrate in the championship rounds when the fight is pretty much even after 8 or 9.

          115 - 112 Cotto

          Anyways, what a fight!
clottey won the 10 imo. I had it 8 rounds to 4 for clottey.

I was in the first row behind press row and it was no Clottey win!
Clottey DID lose the last three rounds especially the last two ...he was not doing enough. He missed alot of shots that looked may have looked good but were glancing...I assume that's why punchstat had him so far ahead. He was slapping in the end like Ike Quartey.
MUCH RESPECT TO COTTO FOR FIGHTING WITH THAT HUGE CUT THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE FIGHT (AGAIN HE IS BURNED FOR BEING A WARRIOR)HE COULD HAVE EASILY BAILED EARLIER WHILE HE WAS AHEAD AND WENT TO THE SCORE CARDS WITH EASY WIN.

                cotto won rounds 1,3,4,6,11,12

clottey started round 4 well, but cotto ended it better

cotto finished round 10 well, but i dont think it was enough to steal it.

other than those 2 rounds, fight wasnt difficult to score at all....even round 4 being close is pushing it really....................114-113 cotto clearly...........

lederman had to give clottey round 11 to make it close lol.............and whoever gave round 3 to clottey cant score for ****...

clottey had the tools to win, but he didnt have the boxing IQ to actually do it.

Cotto is the champ. He sold out MSG. Gets headubutted with a cut that easily could have been stopped. Kept on. 1st round knockdown. Steady rounds won by Cotto. Wins championship rounds. Too close to call? Home team gets it. Fact of life. Not a gift. Def no robbery.
