Just because they have beard dosen't mean they are the same. Duran and Pacquiao are two diferent kind of fighters.

fighting style wise very different. Personality wise also.

But what they mean to boxing, what they were able to accomplish, their status, accomplishments, fighting spirit, ferocity, weight class movement, & what they mean to their respective country.....

      very, very similar.

Duran and Pacquiao Weight class movement is nothing alike. Duran started at light WW and got to LH and Paquiao started at SW and got to WW.

The 1st time I saw Pac against Barrera, I was in awe just after the 3rd rd. It brings back the memories of Duran, SRL & Hearns. But I never even thought he has the carbon copy of Duran. My first thought was This guy has Duran's ferociousness, SRL's speed & Flash & Hearns one Punch KO Power.

Then I researched ARmstrong & SRR & found out they're not like Pac either. I guess Pac is one of kind style of fighter. Maybe in the future we will find some youngster who fights like Pac.

Pacquiao started fighting professionally at 106. he's a former fly weight champion. Duran started at 118. Ended at super middle.

Duran tkod bucanan @ 135 for his first title, his last & heaviest title at middleweight knocking down a big iran barkley.

Pacquiao knocked out sasakul for his flyweight title, knocked out the alleged bigger & stronger hatton for his 140 title

                    both great fighters
both cause unreal pressure & ferocity inside the ring
both have coal black waving hair
both loved & revered by their country
both short in stature but big in heart & fighting spirit beating bigger men
                    both heavily decorated boxers
                    both legends

                    both very very similar.

Duran had more technical skill in his game then Pacquiao, was more versatile and had a larger arsenal of punches.
