If Hatton had tried to follow Mayweather's instructions and looked bad doing it, you'd have a case. But he completely ignored the game plan and fought the exact opposite of the way he'd been working on in training, so I don't see how Mayweather can be given any of the blame at all. He worked on keeping his hands up, so he kept them low. He worked on head movement, so he didn't move his head at all. He workled on his jab, so he didn't jab. He worked on angles, so he showed no angles and just tried to bulldoze his way in, in straight lines, the complete opposite of what Floyd had asked him to do. To blame Floyd for Hatton's stubborn willfulness is just crazy, IMO. The lateness issues may have been unprofessional but they don't explain why Hatton chose to completely ignore Floyd's gameplan. And when he followed Floyd's gameplan, against Malignaggi, he looked good doing it.

No one was saying that after the Malignaggi fight. Hatton rediscovered some of his old skills in that fight, while he was being trained by Mayweather. He looked better that night than he had since the Tackie fight.

That's hilarious. He's studied that move fifty times and practiced to avoid getting caught with it, and that's the first thing he got caught with.

      LMAO. Too funny.

Lipstick on a pig brahs. Thats what Fraud sr. was. Lipstick & ricky was still that same old, limited, unathletic, overrated, clownish pig.

That first episode were ricky was sporting a european carry on male purse when he got off the plane then showed his thong, i knew right then & there that this guy was a goner. These type of clowns dont beat all time greats.

Nobody is gonna change their style of fighting built in for almost a decade in one fight & 2 training camps. I cant believe so many people fell for it.

Even i knew better not to trust a gibbering jive talking former ex con drug pusher.....

I wish Ricky and his camp would just stop bitching and accept he lost. It gets on my nerves reading the press everyday about Floyd Snr did this and Floyd Snr did that. Hatton had a decent career but just wasn't good enough to be the best and I'm not sure any trainer of ref could have helped his beat Pacman and PBF and there is no shame in that.

First of all, Mayweather Sr., Jr., and Roger are a bunch of ******s. They're all bulls!tters and deceives and/or persuade anybody with deceitful or foolish talk. Mayweather Sr. is partly to blame on Hatton's performance because he conduct himself in a very unprofessional manner.

theres reasons for everything and the reasons in this case are important in him determining if he wants to and should fight on. if he was at the top of his game that night, then he should retire. but if he wasn't, its a different story and he needs to hook up with someone better

I have come to the conclusion that Hatton lost the fight because of a lack of respect more correctly he lost the fight the way he did.

In a fight you need confidence, without confidence you doubt your own ability so you will be scared to go at your enemy. Both Pacquiao and Hatton had plenty of confidence going into that fight.

The problem is aswell as confidence you need respect for your enemy. In the prefight talking, it was clear that Pacquiao respected Hatton as a fighter. Same can't be said for Hatton and Pacquiao, he direspected his power and strength which ended up in him trying muscle him around we all know the rest.

He has no one to blame but himself for not being at the top of his game. His game plan was as wrong for Pacquiao's style as it could possibly have been, and it was the exact opposite of the game plan that Floyd had tried to instill in him. So Floyd should get no blame for it at all, Hatton needs to grow up and take responsibility for the fact that he quite simply fu.cked it up.
