According to sparring partners Calzaghe hit hard, even late in his career. When he started he had excellent power. Anyone says otherwise, they are talking complete horse ****.

Calzaghe's power never changed to me. It was always solid, not great. But it did seem like later in his career that, at times, he took some steam off of them when throwing occasionally.

Calzaghe's power is deceptive, as Samarai has already said his opponents and sparring partners said he hits hard (and he goes very easy in sparring because of his brittle hands) so I'll take their word over someone who has probably never laced up a pair of gloves before.

No. His style is just ugly to watch.

Everyone disses Calzaghes power and punching style until they are on the end of one.

Used to have very good power back in the day, broke his hands to many times and had to change his style.

                  That's not true.

The Brits on this forum all tend to agree than Floyd is more popular in the UK than Oscar.

Tone down your hatred and inform yourself lil fella.

Never had any power to begin with.

Most of the guys he stopped had all been KO'd previously or were not much to begin with.

no one cares about De La Hoya over here. Mayweather/Pacquiao are the two biggest boxing stars over here discounting our own boxers

from my experience Mayweather seems more known than Pacman too
