Like if it werent for sanctioning body politics then Pacquiao would hold belts in 3 weightclasses all at once today. Being the sole champion in 2 of them and having a W over the real champion in the 3rd weightclass.

Or that Oldschool fighters would not have as many fights as they do if they were privy to the same priveleges top level fighters of today are. Such as being broken off percentages of ppv sales, media days, endorsement deals, etc etc.

After a certain point fighters of a certain level today wouldnt be able to take on fighters that are 2-15.
exactly. people tend to look at those 100 or so wins as they are, without taking into consideration that not all of them are againts top guys. impressive, yes, but saying that today's fighters are nothing compared to yesterday's fighter is complete bs.

the sport has evolved, 15 rounds fights are now 12 rounds to protect today's boxers. new training techniques also give boxers the opportunity to be in top physical condition.

is pacquiao=armstrong? NO. what homicide hank did in his carreer was the stuff of legends, and i doubt that anybody would surpass it. but credit to pacquiao for doing something close.

Garcia actually let him win their welterweight fight but when they fought at middleweight, garcia foresaw the future and won't let henry win to give way to this kind of fatasy match up that will make people argue and have hard feelings.

                    they're about the same size.

today's lightweights are the size of yesterday's middleweights.

hopkins would be a heavyweight in the old days.
