Im certain he didnt crack Ring's top ten at the time, not sure you understand ratings and sanctioning bodies.

You do know before he got KOed by Cotto he fought a guy that had a guy with a 1-8 Record (or something like that), and before that another dude with a record just as bad.

Did you not put Urkal's name down as a good win for Cotto? Being the mandatory means nothing, funny you didnt put Jennings name on the list, since 1 and 2 fight for vacated titles.

You know what, I can see that I have employed a bit of a double standard here. My bad. Even without Urkal, Cotto's reume just as good as Margs over that time frame.

So basically youre saying Paul Williams wasnt a good name on Marg list to have, ok, youre the only one who will say that.

Do me a favor, act like a man and don't purposely twist my words to fit your agenda. I never said that and you STILL haven't answered the question?

What question? Who had Williams beat before facing Marg? He beat a couple good names but mainly it was what he brought to the table, the length, speed, awkwardness, Marg knew this and didnt fight him for a long time. And since you like sanctioning body ratings, Williams was Marg's mandatory at the time.

Then Urkal has to be on the list too, and 4 if not 5 of Cotto's names have also had the distinction you have named for Margs comp.

Lmao, what a joke!! Fighters aren't judged by "what they bring to the table", but by who they fight. Love how you try to twist things to fit your definition, but it doesn't work that way. At the time of their respective fights both Williams and Quintana were highly thought of, but neither anymore proven then the other.

Ranking systems work on what a fighter brings to the table. Otherwise Williams wouldnt be ranked number one by The Ring, having done so little at 154, if the fighter hasnt fought and beat a fighter in a division, they place him where they think he should go, in other words in the Ring's thinking, they believe Williams would beat every 154 lb fighter in the division having only faced Verno Philips there, who WASNT ranked number one when he beat him. This has been going on for over 100 years and somehow this practice escaped you, welcome to the party.

Yea he was. Just like Gomez though, I couldn't see why. If I remember correctly Gomez was on it for a very short time. Maybe it wasn't as strong as it is now.

Also if you want to talk about the Gomez fight being political. The same could be applied to Cotto vs Quintana. What did Cotto do @ 147 to fight for a belt in his first fight??

Here are the yearly ratings by year though. http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.ph...Annual_Ratings

Cotto v Mosley could realistically be a very entertaining trilogy...
