I thought Rogan said he loved boxing? He was just saying it is limited, which it is really.

Arlovski was winning the Fedor fight until the stoppage with his striking and I've read eye witness accounts of Arlovski getting his ass kicked in sparring by a heavyweight boxing prospect with one fight. There's no comparison.
Well, you could also say that their other strikes (kicks, elbows, knees) outweigh the hands.

One thing that people often disregard is the fact that MMA is fought from a farther distance than most boxing matches, because they have to worry about getting kicked and there is obviously more range to a kick than a punch. Because of this, it should be pretty obvious that punchers are going to look sloppy - there's simply too much ground to cover in order to get in punching range. Unless the guy you're fighting doesn't use kicks, it's not an intelligent thing to do to try and go to a boxer's range and pop the jab and bob and weave. You're going to get kicked in the head, or you're going to take a knee to the face.

Obviously I love boxing - moreso than MMA - but I'm just trying to put out the other side of the argument.

hes pre entertaining to watch, i only watch him and GSP fight. everyone else is boring, alot of the fights are too uncoordinated and just look like a buncha bush men fighting.

2 fights doesnt really give alot of insight of how good he really is. just haveing a boxing record IMO is something else.

IMO being highly skilled with your hands outweighs ok-good skills with the other strikes.

I understand the range and distance is different, but that should make the telegraphing more evident, making the timing and counters easier. If an mma fighter tried to throw a superman punch, flying knee, backfist, pretty much any type of kick other than maybe a leg kick to the calf, would get them ktfo against any boxer with good-great timing.
