MMA legend giving respect to boxing.

With all the MMA vs boxing stuff, i found that Frank Shamrock, a former 5 time world champ, and best P4P, says he only watches boxing an that boxing is harder than MMA.

Some MMA haters will give him respect.

Frank Shamrock knows what he's talking about and not a lot of fighters would admit what he did because he can't be the only one. This idea that mma strikers are as good as a boxer garbage needs to be put to rest.

Arlovski was winning the Fedor fight until the stoppage with his striking and I've read eye witness accounts of Arlovski getting his ass kicked in sparring by a heavyweight boxing prospect with one fight. There's no comparison.

agreed. i mean the best mma boxers. arlovski, a.silva, evans, penn etc would all get stomped out with ease by any fringe conrtender in a boxing ring. they would reach journeyman status at best, most likely clubfighter status. if they tried to go into boxing now using their name recognition to get a big fight they would get humiliated.

they should do some show with silva or arlovski or any other top mma fighter who talked about boxing a real boxer doing that. and cintron fighting some mma guy in a cage on the same card. boxing would be 2-0 and all these mma guys will stfu. i like to watch mma now and then, but boxing is on a whole other level.

It's comparing apples and oranges. Striking in MMA generally sucks but does not in any way mean a boxer would beat an MMA fighter once the gloves come off.

And there was a time in the roots of MMA when they had some excellent strikers like Bas Rutten and Pat Milettich.

Nice to see him be respectful to Boxing because a lot of MMA fans and fighters try to discredit Boxing. When in fairness they can both exist with each other.
