Thank god someone else has realized this... it's really irritating that people think that Margarito is a frontrunner when referring to his fight against Clottey. Just the same way Mayweather won the early rounds from Castillo in the first fight until he started to tire a bit, Clottey was able to use his speed and energy to beat Margarito in the early rounds, but eventually wore down under Margarito's pressure. That's the way strong pressure fighters fight... I don't know why most people can't grasp this.

Im agreeing with Dirk on this one... I saw Clottey out landing Margarito pretty marginally for the first half of the fight.. until it became abundantly clear something was wrong with Clottey.

I had no bias on this fight.. it's just what I gathered from watching it.

I agree, I thought Clottey more or less was doing whatever he wanted in the early going.

Yep the fact that Margarito tends to come on late doesnt change the fact he was getting his ears boxed off in the early rounds. Even when he did come on, the fight was still competitive with Clottey landing the more eye catching punches (with one good hand)
