I could write an essay and that would be boring but here are a few things that spring to mind...

Pros: 16% tax, low bills, high(ish) wages. Loads of hot available women, great transport, great food, good night life, safe and low crime. Cheap travel to the rest of Asia.

Cons: Very polluted air, crap local music scene, congested streets, peoples' lack of manners, hardly any welfare state (is that a bad thing?)

Yes that's true, but China is a country where half the population lives in poverty and has no access to health care. 16% tax is great, but not if the man in the next region can't feed himself. Although, Britain has a great amount of people who abuse the system, which China doesn't have to worry about.

That's a good idea, but if you were in between jobs and was a genuine hard worker, it would be demeaning to pay for food with stamps. Maybe the long time unemployed should have to pay with stamps, which can't be used for cigarettes and alcohol.

Yes you are right. But you shouldn't be able to leave and continue to make money here without paying tax. 50% is too much tax, but sport stars earn a great deal of money. I'm happy for Carl Froch to live in Spain, but not to avoid tax. I'm sure if he became brain damaged in the ring, he would happily live off welfare, and recieve expensive treatment off the NHS.

from a moral point of view he should pay tax if he fights here, but if the law says he doesnt have to (i dont even know if thats the case or not) why not?
its a ****ish thing to do, but if u could do it, you would. I know i would anyway.
I'd say he's got good health insurance being a pro fighter. i doubt he'd be using the NHS anyway. he's end up with MRSA these days!

If that's the case, and he lives in Spain, then the UK government shouldn't get anything. But if he does fight in the UK it's a different story.

I don't think it's that easy, everything is open to fraud though, it's not like dinner tickets where you can sell them, you need to provide/scan like an ID/passport type thing that matches your stamp numbers when purchasing. Otherwise they are useless.
