I may add that the surge in "patriotism" is actually not patriotic. It is more of a means to misdirect anger through separatism and seclusion.A way to justify racism, xenophobia, and hatred for all that is unique from what those "patriots" ideals/ values are.In the Cronulla riots-both "sides" were Australian born, but anyone who may look "ethnic" were targets by these same sort of "patriots".The great thing about being TRUELY Australian,is that there are no rules or boundries-you can believe in whatever you want, eat many different cuisines, learn a different culture or language from your neighbors,etc-realistically, there is no ONE defined culture, but many.I look at MODERN Australia as several unique people coming together for one common goal-to make this the best place to inhabit.Anyone who is against that,is not Aussie.

That's the problem. It's terrible, but I'm not suprised more people are voting BNP these days. I don't agree with it, but i understand it, people are pissed off.
The Great British reality is very different. People are rude, aggressive, and selfish and customer service in any such based job is shocking. When the Industrial Revolution took over Britain in the mid 18th Century, we became a hard working nation, desperate to be at the fore front of technology and new inventions. When Churchill and his soldiers won the Second World War, we were a proud nation, willing to sacrifice ourselves for our country - willing to fight to rid the world of evil tyrants and dictators hoping that it would secure a better future for their children and grand children.
If they seen a picture Britain in 2009 would they get up and fight? I doubt it. What were they fighting for?
Foreigners don't like us bearing any kind of Union Jack or England Flag, to support our Nationalism, they complain about everything that is British, leaving us with no traditions and very little culture to educate people with.Comment

WBC super middleweight champ Carl Froch is considering a possible move to Spain. Froch is upset with the high amount of tax he is required to pay, 50% on his earnings in the ring. Other fighters, like David Haye, have already left the UK. Haye resides in Cyprus. Froch says that he discussed the subject of leaving with Haye. [details]Comment
