    **** never ends.
I dunno, the Jones fight was always a bit meaningless to me, but to Joe it was a pretty decent payday, I guess? **** knows.

ive missed most of this thread, so i'll speak my peace and move on. if ricky would have beat manny, he would have been considered #1 p4p. Therefore, he wouldve earned himself a rematch against floyd. Duh!

And on top of that, its a big payday, and floyd wants to fight in the U.K. If someone said this already, im sorry!

that was the hit list?!?!?!? say it aint so floyd

Didn't Pacquaio fight two rematches recently against guys he ko'd: Erik Morales and Barrera instead of fighting more worthy opponents like Casamayor, Edwin Valero and Nate Campbell?

No he wouldn't that's not even how the P4P champion thing works, not at all.
Hatton would NEVER EVER EVER be #1 P4P even if he beat Pac or Floyd.
If he beat both he might get it but there would still be much better P4P fighters around other than him who may still get the nod.

Compare that now to Manny who isn't nearly as naturally talented or been in boxing as long, but i think it's fair to say that manny is trying to find his ceiling where as floyd isn't.

How long have you been watching boxing? You know nothing about the talent level Floyd has been fighting. I have been following Mayweather's career since it started, not just the last three years and I know for an absolute fact that if you compare the records and the quality of competition that Mayweather has fought in his career to that of Pacquaio's, there is no question that Mayweather's is better and any objective person who did that would come to the same conclusion.

Nah, Ricky would not have been #1, no way.

The word "retire" wasn't in that article... he said he planned to beat JMM and then have a big money fight in the UK against Hatton if he beat Pacquiao... he didn't say what he would do after that or say he will retire... just like V. WEBB. JR said.

If Hatton had beat Pacquiao he wouldn't be P4P #1, but he would have probably earned a fight with Mayweather, even though it isn't a fight I am interested in.
